Today was… Woof… The Capitol? What can I say that hasn’t already been said? A dark day in America’s history? A display of hypocrisy? A shit show? (I normally watch my language, but this post has a few curse words sprinkled throughout) Rather than try to express the enormity myself, I want to share from around the internet.
Today was insane. This is a scene where “Police officers drew their guns inside the House chamber on Wednesday after pro-Trump protesters broke into the Capitol building and thousands swarmed the steps outside.”
I’m not even going to try and be impartial here.

America is sick right now, and Joe Biden isn’t the cure. Kamala Harris isn’t either. And neither was Barack Obama. WE have to fix this ourselves. WE have to put in the work.
I hope today was a further rude awakening for some, especially for our leaders who play with serious matters that impact so many lives – and are very cavalier until their own lives get put at risk.
I normally don’t bring this one up, but I hear that God works in mysterious ways. What if today was just a little something from on high to kind of put those in the Capitol on notice? I’m not saying that’s the case. I promise I’m not overtly-religious. But… What if?
An Extended Opinion video (a video where I sit down and explain my thoughts on a topic at more length) will be posted to follow-up on this one. I just need to get my head wrapped around the events of today.
