Lawyers
Now, I couldn’t just say that a lawyer inspired this post and then not start off w/ that group right? I am not a lawyer, but I know a few legal professionals & they all DEFINITELY seem like their personalities are a bit informed by their position. I don’t know if it’s the grind of their training in law school, the weight of their duties, or the expectation because of the seriousness of their work – but man, some can be A LOT.
Someone on FB had an interesting perspective on this one.
A lot of lawyers get caught up thinking it’s more than just a complex and (for many) high stress job and it gives them license to feel better than others. I really hate it when I run into someone like that.

And yeah, I can see where he’s coming from with that one about some. Not all, but some.
I am not saying you have to be the “fun lawyer” (because I don’t know how that will impact your ability to pull in clients or be assigned cases), but — damn — lighten up somehow publicly.
