Weather Forecasters
In the famous words of Outkast’s Andre3000, “Weatherman telling us it ain’t gon’ rain. So now we sittin’ in a drop-top, soaking wet. In a silk suit, trying not to sweat.”
People have a love/hate relationship with their local weather forecasters for this very reason. It is a classic tale that is definitely captured in this FB comment…
Hours spent alerting viewers to possible threats on a level that can trigger hysteria and rarely yields an event, combined with missing major events, yields a poorly informed audience and makes decision making more challenging.

Haha – this is why I’ve taken to just using weather apps 🤦🏽♂️

I don’t know if it’s the high of being on T.V. each day, or the thrill of the local celebrity achieved, but I have met nice weather people and some who were kind of jerks. Given the track records of being way off at times associated with the position, I fully get why some people might be like, “Take it down a peg there, champ.”
