Realistic Self-Improvement Goal Ideas for 2022

2022 is the Year to Kick a “Bad” Habit (or two)

I put “Bad” in quotes because I really do think that’s a misnomer for some things. For example, I decided to cut back on drinking all of 2021 as my resolution (not like I was drinking a lot in the first place). I just wanted to see if I COULD do it – and I did (seriously – not one drop of anything alcoholic all year)! So I know that you’ll be able to do it, too. If I can do a thing – you can do a thing (and better).

And you’ll be surprised how much you don’t want a thing once you go without it for a little while. The brain is just wired that way, and it’s kinda’ funny. A Pavlok may help you out with that.

Bad Habits

Whether we’re talking about drinking, smoking, watching porn, being reliant on someone else, whatever — you can rid yourself of that habit in a year’s time if you commit yourself to it and keep people in your circle who support your decision.

I have talked about discipline and willpower before on this site, and I think 2022 is the year that will smile on you if you want to put in a little effort there. And if you stumble once or twice, that’s ok – pick yourself up, dust off, and try again.

2022 is the Year to Slow Down a Bit & Prioritize Resting

The last thing I want to emphasize to everyone is that 2020 and 2021 were both trying years for more than a few of us. Extend yourself the good vibes of just acknowledging, “It might be ok to slow it down a little if I can. I don’t have to do it all at once.”

If you don’t know the signs of when you should rest, I’ve written out 5 of them for you here.

Own YOUR life and don’t make it a race to try to extinguish your own energies in 2022.

There are other things worth considering for your 2022 goals — definitely — but, I wanted to spend this post focusing on some of the lower-hanging fruits that are out there for you. Please consider some of the options presented in this one, look through the resources, and if you have any questions about ANYTHING – don’t hesitate to hit me up in the comment section below.

I will you good luck with your goal-setting for the coming New Year.

Peace, and thanks for reading.
