The Closer

Quentin and one of his kids.

I invited Quentin to share his thoughts in this series because I think he’s incredibly insightful. He is one of the few people I’ve added to my social circles during this pandemic, and I’m honestly glad that I got to meet him. As I said in the opening of this interview, he’s transparent – and I value that in people.

I also wanted people to get a look into what goes into a decision to pause your work and focus on your health. While I’ve never personally done that, I know people who have – and when they come out of the other end, it’s typically described as a transformative step that they’re glad they took.

Judging by this interview and talks that I’ve had with him personally outside of this, I don’t worry about Quentin at all. He’s clever and knows how to do his own thing. He will likely take care of himself and others along the way multiple times over whenever he hops back into things. But — for those of you who aren’t Quentin… Heed his words. Look over that thought process and interrogate yourself if you feel you’re on the verge of needing a breather.

I hope you all got something meaningful from this introspective chat.

Peace, and thanks for reading.
